CSCMP European Conference Warsaw 2019

The two-day conference in Warsaw, Poland, focused on real-world strategies companies can implement to maximize and transform their supply chains.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and Kozminski University hosted the annual CSCMP European Conference in Warsaw, Poland on May 16-17 2019.

The conference focused on four key areas affecting global supply chains: digital supply chains; procurement; supply integration and collaboration; and commerce and e-commerce. Attendees learnt from supply chain academics, practitioners, and industry experts as well as enjoyed networking opportunities with leading, emerging, and future supply chain leaders.

Keynote speakers included Grzegorz Kolodko, a distinguished professor of economics from Kozminski University and a key architect of Polish economic reforms. Remko van Hoek, professor at the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, discussed his previous experiences with Nike, PwC, and Walt Disney Company. In addition, attendees heard from professional networker Miquel Serracanta; A. Michael Knemeyer, professor of logistics at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business; Mary Long, managing director of the Global Supply Chain Institute’s Forum at the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business; and Michael Bourlakis, director of research and the head of the logistics, procurement and supply chain management group at Cranfield School of Management.
